Introduction of Photography

· We were introduced to photography with a look at the basics of photography.
Looking at how some of the classic lenses worked with the shutter and how fast it can have a fast look. It can come distorted if the camera is not steady enough and is used in bright sun light.
There is a rule when using a camera that the shutter speed should not be lower than the focal length of the lens.
If a camera is behind focus point you will get small Aperture with the lens this is to signify that the camera is opening.
To show that the camera lens is now open it will be Large Aperture.

Semiotics

· This is not a pipe. That probably meant nothing to me before or did it?
Looking at the work a pipe was a series of paintings by French impressionist Renee Magritte.
He showed us that we all have different opinions to everything. We all look at the same topic but we will all see it in different ways is what he has made famous.
Magritte had a fascination with the link between a picture and reality for example he done a painting of what you would expect is a happy couple but it does not mean that it is just a painting we could all see it in different ways.
